We cater our products, research, and development exclusively to darker skin tones; phototypes 4, 5, and 6 on The Fitzpatrick Scale. That’s why we thought it only right to wear our philosophy on our sleeves, so to speak—and name our melanin-centric brand, 4.5.6 Skin.

How does the 4.5.6 Skin customisation process work?
Our products are researched, developed, Once you’ve taken the Skin Quiz, our algorithm determines the best-suited formulation for you. After that, your bespoke formulation(s) will be freshly made-to-order by our skin experts, and swiftly delivered to your door., and customised in our proprietary laboratory located in the heart of the French Cosmetic Valley. Are your products 100% natural, organic, or vegan?
We are 100%Good Face Project approved, Sephora and Ulta Beauty Clean. We use 90% of natural, organic biodynamic ingredients combined with science-backed, lab-made ingredients for maximum effectiveness.
Are your products cruelty free?
Absolutely. All our products are cruelty-free.
Is there fragrance used in your products?
We offer two options; with or without fragrance. Any fragrance we may use has been legally-tested hypoallergenic, and proven to be allergen-free. For those with highly sensitive skin, we recommend a patch test on the inner arm a few days prior to face application.
When can I expect to start seeing results from my products?
How quickly you see results will depend on consistency with your skincare routine. We’ll never promise miracles (no one should), but with commitment, you will see results from up to 1-month.
What’s your refund policy, and what are my options if I'm not 100% satisfied with my products?
We understand that skincare is a deeply personal journey and even the highest quality, purest products might not meet everyone's needs. To support your skincare decisions, we offer a 30-days refund policy with the following conditions:
1) Products must be unopened or minimally used. We can no longer refund products that have been used more than 20% of the bottle.
2) Products must be returned in their original primary and outer packaging and must be received in good condition.
3) In the case of a visible skin irritation that we can clearly determine is a result of using only our products. We can offer a free consultation on how to modulate your routine and optimise your experience and results. Alternatively, a reformulation of the product will be provided if the client can give substantial evidence that they did not use anything besides our product and we determine, in our discretion, that it is true. In this case, we will bear the cost of return shipping.
In the event that the client decides that they no longer want the product, provided that the package has not been opened nor the product used. You will be responsible for any fee associated with shipping the products back to us. After we have received the product, we will then refund the customer back the amount used to purchase the product.
4) In the event that the purchased product is faulty, broken, or damaged before it gets to the customer, we will accept returns and bear the cost for the return shipping. We will offer to send a replacement of the product purchased to the customer or issue a refund if the customer is no more interested in purchasing the product. However, we will not offer replacements or refunds for orders or items that are reported missing or damaged that we reasonably believed to have been delivered to a parcel forwarding company.
You have 30 days after the purchased product has been shipped to return the item after which no returns shall be accepted.
Refund Processing
Once we receive your returned products and inspect them for compliance with our return policy, we will process your refund or formula adjustment promptly. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase. Please allow some time for the processing of your return, which may vary depending on your payment provider. Can I get samples before I purchase the product?
Due to our formulations tailored to your specific needs and freshly made-to-order, we’re currently unable to offer samples. For more information, contact our team at hello@456skin.com, and we’ll ensure your formulation is the best fit for you.
How long does the delivery take?
Our products are made fresh in our own lab, the worlds first that focuses on the Science of Skin Tone. Any customized orders and manufactured (non-customized) orders from Europe are shipped from the French Cosmetics Valley, manufactured orders to the rest of the world are dispatched from our UK warehouse. This does mean that our shipping can take a little longer than we’d like, but we are always working to improve our service!
